The Voice in the Walls
Audio Immersive Theatre - 2015
About
An audio immersive and site specific -performance for children aged 9-12.
In 2013 QUT Precincts engaged Imaginary Theatre to create a new work which would activate Old Government House, a historical building on QUT Garden's Point Campus, for children and families during school holiday periods.
The Voice in the Walls, Imaginary Theatre’s response to this brief, is an audio immersive, site specific performance for 9-12 year olds.
Victor and Mary are voices from the past, lingering like ghosts within the walls of Old Government House. They need help to bring their stories to light and right the wrongs of history, and there is only one person who can help them.
You. So keep calm, listen carefully, and do exactly as they say.
Set amongst the historic halls of Old Government House, audiences are equipped with headphones and a wireless device while they traverse the halls of the House in an audio tour like none other.
