Play Project

A new work in development by Imaginary Theatre for 1-4 year olds.

Play is something that we don't learn, but are born with.

This project explores the play behaviours of very young children through a long-term investigative process that aims to define and record the 'language' of play, and utilize it in the creation of a new performance work for this age group. What will the show be? We don't really know yet! The research findings will allow us to make decisions on the content and style of the work, ensuring that we create a show that is responding to the needs of a very special audience - children aged four years and under!
