Play Project
Play Project was Imaginary Theatre's 2009 research and development initiative delivered in association with C&K, one of Queensland's oldest and leading early childhood institutions.
The project saw an investigation into the wonder of children's play through a practice lead research study with children aged 1-5 in three early childhood learning centres across Brisbane and Logan. Through an in depth process that aimed to define and record the 'languages' of children's play, the research findings have allowed us to make informed decisions ensuring that we create performances that are responding to the needs of a very special audience - children aged five years and under.
