Imaginary Theatre are seeking South East Queensland-based practitioners with experience working with children aged 4-11, and a skill set spanning performance and facilitation for an international theatre production to be presented at Festival 2018, as part of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Circa and Imaginary Theatre are co-producing the presentation of an international production for children that will occur in two parts. From February - March 2018 the production will be presented in two Gold Coast primary schools, followed by a public outcome from 5 - 15 April 2018, during Festival 2018.

 

This production is a significant opportunity for qualified candidates. The production is part immersive theatre and part school residency, requiring of its cast unique skills & attributes. The details of this production are currently under embargo until the Festival 2018 Gold Coast program launch in January 2018. Successful applicants will be required to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Applications from performers/facilitators interested in auditioning for roles can be made by submitting a two page CV, highlighting relevant experience or training AND detailing two referees, along with a headshot photograph, to info@imaginarytheatre.org. In your email, please include your full name, phone number, and list the role/s that you would like to audition for.

 

Applications will be accepted up until 5pm on Wednesday November 8.

 

From CV submissions, candidates will be shortlisted to participate in auditions. Some applicants may be contacted by Imaginary Theatre via telephone to discuss their submission. All applicants will be advised of the outcomes of this application process by 5pm on November 10, with successful applicants progressing to audition. Those selected will be invited to audition for a specific role in workshop style processes held in both Gold Coast and Brisbane, taking place in mid-November 2017.
