Imaginary Theatre is a Brisbane based company creating outstanding art and arts experiences for children aged 2-12 and their communities. We engage children and families in contemporary multi-art form experiences that sit on the intersection of childhood, creativity & community. Imaginary’s work aims to excite imaginations, inspire creative responses, & empower children to collaboratively think, make & do as key contributors to their communities. Over 70,000 people have seen or participated in Imaginary projects since 2006 in Queensland, nationally & internationally.
Imaginary Theatre is a not-for-profit arts organisation that operates without ongoing operational funding.
We are currently seeking a Board Director with skills and expertise in communications, publicity and promotions to join its committed Board of Directors.
Working closely with the Board Chair, Directors and Imaginary Theatre management, the primary purpose of this role is to provide communications, publicity and promotional leadership, guidance and support (0.5 – 1 day/week, volunteer basis) to the company.
This will include, but is not limited to consulting on the maintenance and enhancement of a clear market presence, brand and promotional strategy.
An understanding and appreciation and/or experience in the arts and community sectors, with particular knowledge and interest in working with children and families is desirable.
